The Brief: Behind the Scenes

This mini challenge has now closed. Here was the original brief:

This week, we're asking you to show everyone the "secret sauce" that goes into a newly drawn Mental Canvas creation. This can include turning on and off the visibility of canvases and layers, or navigating within the viewer to  show your canvases from where they are not intended to be seen, or how you cycled the visibility of canvases along your timeline. If you want, you can try showing your entire process from blank canvas to museum piece in less than 1 minute. In other words, show everyone a "behind the scenes tour" so we can learn from each other and inspire new Mental Canvas Draw creators.

The mini challenge begins on Wednesday, August 4, 12pm EDT and closes Wednesday, Aug 11, 11:59pm EST.
How to enter:
1. Film yourself using Mental Canvas Draw: interacting with your scene or breaking down how you made a cool effect. Feel free to show your final result as well, but the emphasis here is on training new padawans.
2. Post your video on Instagram, TikTok or Twitter. Tag us @mental_canvas and include 2 hashtags: #ReimagineDrawingChallenge and #MiniChallenge2. Make sure it's on a public profile so we can see it. You must be registered to be eligible for both the $100K Challenge and mini challenges. (You only need to register once for all challenges). If you're posting the final video export in addition to the behind-the-scenes video, please include the watermark.

Submit as many entries as you'd like!

The winner will be announced on August 16th and receive $250 USD.

All rules and eligibility requirements of the $100K Reimagine Drawing Challenge apply. Go to the FAQ page to learn more. We can’t wait to see what you create!
