The Results: Mini Challenge #1

Congratulations Ambareesh Haridas 🎉 our first mini challenge winner! It was a tough decision but @artofambro impressed the judges with the the clever placement of canvases and movement from inside the van into the sky. The Judges

The first Mini Challenge was judged by two expert Mental Canvas users, Andre Wojaczek and Carol Hsiung. They looked at every single submission and were blown away by all the amazing creativity that everyone shared. Learn more about the judges:

Andre Wojaczek

Andre is a Designer, Illustrator and visualization expert. He has worked with Mental Canvas on personal projects and professional, including creating this immersive virtual boutique with Town & Country Magazine and Amazon Registry.

Carol Hsiung

Carol is a Senior Designer at FXCollaborative and one of the first Mental Canvas users. Carol “loves the process of drawing and the story a line can make.” Carol has used Mental Canvas extensively in both her professional work as an Architect as well as for personal projects and storytelling.

The Brief: Firsts

This mini challenge has now closed. Here was the original brief:

The first mini challenge is all about firsts. If you’re just starting to learn Mental Canvas, show us your first creation. If you’ve used Mental Canvas before, create a scene in a new way! Here's a tip: focus on creativity, not complexity.

The mini challenge begins on Tuesday, July 27, 12pm EDT and closes Tuesday, Aug 3, 11:59pm EST.

How to enter:
Post your video on Instagram, TikTok or Twitter. Tag us @mental_canvas and include 2 hashtags: #ReimagineDrawingChallenge and #MiniChallenge1. Make sure it's on a public profile so we can see it. You must be registered to be eligible for both the $100K Challenge and mini challenges. (You only need to register once for all challenges).

Submit as many entries as you'd like!

The winner will be announced on August 5th and receive $250 USD.
